The thought of the site FrizzIndex.com came into mind when we decided we enjoyed doing web design at home in our spare time - plus we searched on GoDaddy.com. and it was available. We were looking for a decent name when we noticed on a weather web site (AccuWeather.com) that there was a “frizz index” for your hair, depending on the humidity on that day. We thought that “Frizz Index” would be a interesting domain name for our new site due to the fact almost everyone has heard of “frizz” in hair.  Now, the “index” was also appropriate because in web design, for the main page of your directory or subdirectory, you always use either “index”, “default”, or the least commonly used “welcome” as the main location page of the directory. The word “index” tells the host server that, “Hey, this is the main page of that directory and I will choose that one first.”

Well, that is your simple lesson on HTML coding for today and some background on the name we chose.  Oh, also if you are a weather or hair company and want to purchase the domain name “FrizzIndex.com,” it is for sale- for the right price. We will just purchase a new domain name and send all the data over to our new name - no biggie.

Anyway, this turned into a hobby of ours quickly. My editor likes what she does, but she leaves the designing and coding to me. We figured that this site would be a good way to show off our work and a great way to get new projects to keep us busy. So, when the old sites are complete, we will have more new sites to create, update, and maintain throughout the years. It may get to a point where if we have enough clients to keep us “hobby busy” throughout the year, we will turn away any new clients. We do not want this to turn into a job by any means. Hobbies are fun, jobs are rarely fun, if ever.
